The familiar bright orange colour that represents Mango Airlines is the simplest way to recognise this airline carrier. Taking its first flight in November 2006, Mango Airlines have continued to challenge the market with their competitively priced rates. With flights to all the domestic airports in South Africa, Mango Airlines operate eight eco-friendly Boeing 737-800 aircrafts, with each carrying 186 passengers.

By South African Airways being the parent company of Mango Airlines, SAA Voyager members will now be able to redeem their SAA Voyager miles. Currently, this transaction will however not earn SAA Voyager miles with Mango flights, and SAA Voyager benefits such as additional baggage, lounge access or upgrades will not be applicable when paying for a Mango flight using SAA Voyager miles.

Mango Airlines was also the first African airline to make Wi-Fi available to their on-board passengers, and to this day, remains the only airline globally to accept store charge cards in lieu of a booking payment.

To make your booking it is mandatory for you to remember your ID Document number or Passport number, which you will also be required to present when checking-in for your flight. Should you have paid for your flight booking with a credit card, you will also be required by Mango Airlines to present this credit card before you will be allowed to check-in. Mango Airlines have taken this anti-fraud precaution for your safety and that of fellow passengers. This is a non-negotiable requirement.
