Myciti the bus transport system in Cape Town allows visitors and locals alike to visit some of the most breathtaking and beautiful areas.

World famous beaches on the Atlantic coast from Hout Bay to Big Bay are served by a number of the buses routes. In the centre of the city there are cafes, museums, restaurants and an abundance of markets and art galleries to explore, all of which are accessible through the Myciti network route.
Myciti operate up to 18 hours a day, depending on the route and one can plan a full day out using the Myciti service. There is a website at www.myciti.org.za where you can view all the routes and services.
The Myciti service does not accept cash so one needs to get a my connect card. You can get these for R30 at a Myciti station kiosk and selected retailers and load it with money to travel. Fares are based on the distance that one travels and there are free transfers at stops and stations within a 45 minute period.
There is a Myciti station outside the arrival and departure terminal at the Cape Town international airport travelling from the civic centre station every 30 minutes.
